What is acupuncture

As a key element of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture originated in China over 3000 years ago and is still widely used today for its remarkable benefits.

Acupuncture is a leading non-prescription treatment for a number of issues such as serious pain and injuries, fertility, menopause, stress, anxiety, depression and more.

The entire acupuncture process is pain free and involves the slight insertion of ultra-fine needles into specific body locations called ‘acu-points’. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture restores balance to the body by clearing blockages that flow along pathways called meridians. This regulates the flow of qi (vital energy).

Some people will feel immediate relaxation and sleepiness; others will feel different sensations such as tingling and increased levels of energy. Regardless, each session is satisfying and rewarding in the long-term.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, can target specific areas of pain and/or stimulation by clearing any blockages in the natural flow of energy and stimulating the nervous system. This will ensure long-term success is achieved by creating an ongoing balance of energy flow throughout the body.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion treats various conditions by applying heat to specific points in the body. The Moxa used is the traditional Mugwort Herb which transfers heat very effectively particularly for musculo skeletal problems.
