The Wellwood Centre is a venue that is situated in the middle of eight acres of wonderful gardens. The gardens truly are the heart of the Wellwood Centre. Once you enter the gates of this venue you leave stress and worries behind you at the gate. This is a tranquil and peaceful place that is bursting with wildlife. Follow one of our woodland walkways and you could end up at a beautifully planted garden, a relaxing lake, a mysterious stone circle, a sunken moon garden, a large meditative laburnum swirl, an organic orchard, a sleeping giant (designed by Diarmuid Gavin), living caves, large swirling rosa rugosa hedges, a cherry tree walk, or raised herb beds.
There are sections of the garden which are left to nature, to help restore a natural eco-system. The previous owners, the Gaynor family, were big believers in this philosophy and we are very much keeping to the spirit of their vision.
This is a private site with electronic gates ensuring that there are no disturbances for individuals or groups attending the Wellwood Centre.
